[한경잡앤조이=이진호 기자] 원모어시큐리티는 지능형 영상분석 서비스, FIDO 인증 서비스를 제공하는 기업이다. 김민식 대표(47)가 2019년 1월에 설립했다.
김 대표는 한양대학교 전자전기전파공학과 학·석사를 졸업하고 2003년부터 전문연구요원으로 국가보안기술연구소에서 첫 사회생활을 시작했다.
“연구소 재직 중, 연구소의 지원으로 고려대학교 정보보호대학원에서 박사과정을 수료했습니다. 연구소에서 동료들과 개발한 보안 기술이전을 경험하고 직접 제품 상용화에 도전해보고자 2019년 연구소 내부 창업프로그램을 통해 ‘또 하나의 보안’을 의미하는 ㈜원모어시큐리티를 설립하였습니다. 21년을 보안 분야에 몸담아 왔습니다. 전산학을 전공하고 대기업(LG·SK)에서 개발자로 근무했던 배우자와 공동 창업을 하였습니다.”
원모어시큐리티는 고객 중심의 차별화된 솔루션 공급을 통해 디지털 혁신을 만들어 나가는 것을 목표로 한다. 편리하고 안전한 스마트시티 건설에 활용될 수 있는 인공지능·정보보호 솔루션을 개발해 시장에 공급하고 있다. 김 대표는 “사업의 85% 정도는 지능형 영상분석 서비스 개발에 집중하고 있다”며 “15% 정도는 FIDO 인증 서비스와 같은 정보보호 서비스를 개발 중”이라고 말했다.
주력제품인 인공지능 기반의 지능형 영상 분석 플랫폼인 원모어아이(OMEYE)는 영상 고속 분석(사람·차량), 선별 관제(쓰러짐, 화재, 유기, 불법주정차 등 안전 이벤트) 서비스, 개인정보 비식별화 및 영상 반출통제 서비스를 제공한다. CCTV 영상을 고속 분석하여 실종자·범죄자 또는 차량의 과거 이동 경로 또는 현재 위치를 빠르게 제공하거나 쓰러짐, 화재, 배회 등 다양한 안전 이벤트를 실시간으로 탐지하여 경찰 업무를 지원하거나 관제 업무의 운용 효율을 극대화하는데 기여할 수 있다. 또한 영상 반출이 필요한 경우 개인정보 비식별화 및 암호화를 통해 반출을 허용하고 전용 미디어 플레이어를 통해서만 영상 열람이 가능하게 한다.
“최근 지자체에서 치매노인 등의 실종자를 찾는 데 큰 역할을 해 경찰관과 지자체 담당자의 제품 만족도가 상당히 높습니다. 원모어아이는 산업통상부로부터 NEP 신제품 인증을 획득하고 조달청 혁신제품·우수조달제품 지정 등 국내 최다 인증을 획득한 지능형 영상 분석 솔루션입니다. 원모어아이는 과기정통부로부터 2023년 상반기 대한민국 정보보호제품 혁신대상을 포함하여 다수의 장관상을 수상하는 등 좋은 평가를 받고 있습니다. 2023년 8월에 조달청 나라장터 종합쇼핑몰에 입점을 완료하여 본격적으로 솔루션을 시장에 공급 중입니다. 현재 서울의 5곳 지자체를 포함하여 전국 7개의 지자체에 솔루션을 서비스 중입니다. 고객의 입소문을 통해 최근 제품 문의가 증가하고 있어 2024년부터 구축 사례가 본격적으로 늘어날 것으로 기대하고 있습니다.”
원모어아이는 공공시장 외에 민수시장 공급을 위해 지능형 산업안전 이벤트 탐지(안전모 착용 여부, 안전고리 미체결 탐지, SOS 수신호 탐지 등) 서비스를 추가하면서 2024년 1분기에 산업안전용 지능형 영상 분석 솔루션으로 제품 라인업이 추가될 예정이다. 또한 최근 등록이 완료된 특허를 기반으로 지능형 영상 분석 관련 혁신제품 개발도 준비 중이다.
정보보호 분야의 주력제품인 FIDO 인증 솔루션인 원모어패스(OMPASS)는 공개키 기반의 국제 표준을 준수하며 생체인증·간편인증 서비스를 제공한다. GS 인증과 FIDO Alliance 국제 인증 등을 획득한 제품으로 웹서비스, 윈도우 클라이언트, MAC 클라이언트, 모바일 앱, 윈도우즈 운영체제 로그온 서비스 등 다양한 환경에 서비스 제공이 가능하다. 특히 원격에서 SSH 서버 접속 시, 리눅스 PAM 모듈을 제공하여 FIDO 2차 인증이 가능하며, 2023년 8월에 국내 최초로 100% SW 기반으로 윈도우즈 운영체제 FIDO 로그온 서비스를 런칭했다.
“비대면 서비스 확대에 따라 사용자 서비스 및 단말 보호에 대한 니즈가 증가하고 있어 서비스의 시장 공급이 확대될 것으로 기대하고 있습니다. 현재는 구축형 솔루션으로 연구개발특구진흥재단, 한국원자력통제기술원 등 복수의 공공기관에 솔루션을 공급 중이며, 추가로 국내외 잠재 고객을 대상으로 AWS 클라우드 환경에서 클라우드형 FIDO 인증 서비스를 제공 중입니다.”
김대표는 “주력 제품인 지능형 영상 분석 솔루션의 경우 고속 검색, 선별 관제 서비스, 개인정보 비식별화 및 영상 반출통제 서비스를 제공하고 있다”며 “고속 검색의 경우 단일 서버 기준으로 국내에서 가장 빠른 성능을 제공한다”고 강조했다.
“1시간 CCTV 영상을 15초 이내에 분석할 수 있어 육안분석 대비 최대 480배 단축할 수 있습니다. 또한 높은 탐지 정확성을 보장하는 AI 알고리즘을 자체 개발하여 적용하였습니다. 알고리즘은 한국인터넷진흥원의 K-ICTC & K-NBTC 인증 및 KOLAS 국제공인시험 등을 통해 검증되었으며 구축된 고객사에서의 좋은 평가를 통해서도 확인할 수 있습니다. 지능형 선별 관제 서비스에서 가장 문제가 되는 오탐 이슈를 줄여 알고리즘 경쟁력을 갖추고 있습니다.”
원모어시큐리티는 1차로 제품 관련 국내에서 받을 수 있는 공인 인증을 최우선으로 받아 제품에 대한 품질·성능 우수성의 객관적 지표를 확보하는 데 집중했다.
“특히 지능형 영상 분석 솔루션은 NEP 신제품 인증부터 조달청 우수조달제품 지정 등 국내 최다 인증 제품이라고 말할 수 있습니다. 최근 조달청 종합쇼핑몰 및 디지털서비스몰에 주력 제품들이 입점되어 본격적으로 공공 레퍼런스를 확보하기 시작했습니다. 지금까지는 대표인 제가 연구소장 역할 외에 영업까지 직접 담당했으며, 2024년에는 전문 영업 조직을 셋팅하여 자체 마케팅 외에 파트너 채널망을 구축해 나갈 계획입니다.”
원모어시큐리티는 법인 설립 후 약 5년간은 정부사업(약 60억원)을 통해 솔루션을 개발하는데 집중했다. 김 대표는 “주력 제품의 1차 상용화가 완료되었으며 본격적으로 시장에 제품 공급을 위한 영업 조직 셋팅을 준비 중으로 최근 Pre-A 단계로 투자 유치 중”이라며 “VC와 상장기업들을 대상으로 IR을 진행 중이다”고 말했다.
창업 후 김 대표는 “주력 제품의 상용화 전까지는 개발자 인력 및 자금 확보에 많은 어려움이 있었지만 솔루션의 상용화 후 공급 사례가 늘어나고 고객사로부터 제품에 대한 좋은 평가를 들었을 때 보람을 느끼고 있다”고 말했다.
원모어시큐리티는 총 18명으로 구성돼 있으며 90% 이상이 솔루션 개발업무를 담당하고 있다. 앞으로의 계획에 대해 김 대표는 “고객 중심의 디지털 혁신을 만들어 나갈 수 있는 다양한 지능형 영상 분석 서비스를 확대해 나갈 것이며 2024년까지는 국내 레퍼런스 확대에 집중하고, 2025년부터는 해외시장 진출도 추진할 예정”이라며 “최근 투자용 기술신용평가 TI-2 등급을 획득한 만큼 원천기술과 지재권 확보에 더 집중하여 딥테크 전문 기업으로 2027년 기술 특례상장에 도전할 것”이라고 말했다.
원모어시큐리티는 지난해 한국수자원공사가 운영하는 창업도약패키지 사업에 뽑혔다. 창업도약패키지는 창업 3~7년 된 도약기 창업기업의 스케일업을 위해 최대 3억원의 사업화 지원금과 서비스를 제공하는 창업진흥원 지원사업이다. 스타트업의 경영 진단 및 개선, 소비자 요구 및 시장 환경 분석, 투자진단 및 전략 수립을 지원한다.

CEO Kim graduated from Hanyang University with a bachelor's and master's degree in electronic, electrical and radio engineering and began his career at the National Security Technology Research Institute as a professional researcher in 2003.
He said, “While working at the research institute, I completed a doctorate program at the Graduate School of Information Security at Korea University with the support of the research institute. In order to experience the transfer of security technology developed with colleagues at the research institute and attempt to commercialize products directly, we established OneMoreSecurity Co., Ltd., which means ‘another security’, through the institute’s internal startup program in 2019. I have been working in the security field for 21 years. I majored in computer science and started a business together with my spouse, who worked as a developer at a large company (LG, SK).
OneMoreSecurity aims to create digital innovation by providing customer-centered differentiated solutions. We are developing artificial intelligence and information protection solutions that can be used to build convenient and safe smart cities and supply them to the market. CEO Kim said, “About 85% of our business is focused on developing intelligent video analysis services,” and “about 15% is developing information protection services such as FIDO authentication services.”
The flagship product, OneMoreEYE (OMEYE), an artificial intelligence-based intelligent video analysis platform, provides high-speed video analysis (people and vehicles), selective control (safety events such as falls, fire, abandonment, illegal parking, etc.) services, personal information de-identification and Provides video export control service. By analyzing CCTV footage at high speed, we can quickly provide the past movement path or current location of missing people, criminals, or vehicles, or detect various safety events such as falls, fire, and wandering in real time to support police work or maximize the operational efficiency of control work. CEO Kim said, “Recently, it has played a significant role in helping local governments find missing people, such as elderly people with dementia, and police officers and local government officials are very satisfied with the product. OneMoreEYE is an intelligent video analysis solution that has obtained the most certifications in Korea, including NEP new product certification from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and designation as an innovative product and excellent procurement product by the Public Procurement Service. OneMoreEYE has been well received by the Ministry of Science and ICT, winning numerous ministerial awards, including the Korea Information Security Product Innovation Award in the first half of 2023. In August 2023, we opened a store at the Public Procurement Service's Nara Marketplace shopping mall and are supplying solutions to the market in earnest. We are currently providing solutions to 7 local governments across the country, including 5 local governments in Seoul. “Recently, product inquiries have been increasing through customer word of mouth, so we expect the number of construction cases to increase in earnest from 2024.”
In order to supply the civilian market in addition to the public market, OneMoreEye (OMEYE) is adding an intelligent industrial safety event detection service (such as detection of wearing a hard hat, detection of not fastening the safety ring, detection of SOS hand signals, etc.) and plans to provide an intelligent video analysis solution for industrial safety in the first quarter of 2024. Additional product lineups will be added. In addition, we are also preparing to develop innovative products related to intelligent video analysis based on recently registered patents.
OneMorePASS (OMPASS), a FIDO authentication solution that is a flagship product in the information security field, complies with public key-based international standards and provides biometric authentication and simple authentication services. This product has obtained GS certification and FIDO Alliance international certification, and can provide services in various environments such as web services, Windows clients, MAC clients, mobile apps, and Windows operating system logon services. In particular, when accessing an SSH server remotely, FIDO secondary authentication is possible by providing a Linux PAM module, and in August 2023, it launched Korea's first 100% SW-based Windows operating system FIDO logon service.
CEO Kim said, “With the expansion of non-face-to-face services, the need for user services and terminal protection is increasing, so we expect the market supply of services to expand. Currently, we are supplying solutions as built-in solutions to multiple public institutions such as the Research and Development Special Zone Promotion Foundation and the Korea Institute of Nuclear Energy Control and Technology. In addition, we are providing cloud-type FIDO authentication services in the AWS cloud environment to potential customers at home and abroad.”

“One hour of CCTV footage can be analyzed within 15 seconds, which can be up to 480 times faster than analysis by human eyes. In addition, we have developed and applied our own AI algorithm that guarantees high detection accuracy. The algorithm has been verified through the Korea Internet & Security Agency's K-ICTC & K-NBTC certification and KOLAS international certification test, and can also be confirmed through good evaluations from established customers. “We are competitive in our algorithm by reducing false positive issues, which are the most problematic issue in intelligent screening control services.”
OneMoreSecurity first focused on securing objective indicators of quality and performance excellence for products by prioritizing every public certification available in Korea.
CEO Kim said, “In particular, we can say that the intelligent video analysis solution is the product with the most certifications in Korea, including NEP new product certification and designation as an excellent procurement product by the Public Procurement Service. Recently, our flagship products were sold in the Public Procurement Service's general shopping mall and digital service mall, and we have begun to secure public references in earnest. Until now, as the CEO, I have been directly responsible for sales in addition to my role as head of the research center, and in 2024, we plan to set up a professional sales organization to build a partner channel network in addition to our own marketing.”
OneMoreSecurity focused on developing solutions through government projects (approximately KRW 6 billion) for approximately 5 years after its establishment. CEO Kim said, “The first commercialization of our flagship product has been completed, we are preparing to set up a sales organization to supply the product to the market in earnest, and we are currently attracting investment in the Pre-A stage.” He added, “IR is in progress for VCs and listed companies. “He said.
After starting the business, CEO Kim said, “Before the commercialization of the main product, there were many difficulties in securing developer manpower and funding, but after all, the number of use cases increased and I felt rewarded when I heard good reviews about the product from customers.”
OneMoreSecurity consists of a total of 18 people now, and more than 90% are responsible for solution development. Regarding future plans, CEO Kim said, “We will expand various intelligent video analysis services that can create customer-centered digital innovation. We will focus on expanding domestic references by 2024 and plan to enter overseas markets from 2025.” And he continued, “As we have recently acquired the TI-2 rating in the technology credit evaluation for investment, we will focus more on securing source technology and intellectual property rights and challenge for technology special listing in 2027 as a deep tech company.”
OneMoreSecurity was selected for the Startup Leap Package project operated by the Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-Water) last year. The Startup Leap Package is a support project from the Korea Startup Promotion Agency that provides commercialization support and services of up to 300 million won to scale up start-ups that have been in the startup stage for 3 to 7 years. We support startup business management diagnosis and improvement, consumer demand and market environment analysis, investment diagnosis, and strategy establishment.
